If you have any hesitation about hiring a birth photographer, this is your sign to do it. Ashlyn is the most beautiful soul and brings such an authentic presence to the space. She was incredibly in tune with the tone of the room - laughing along with me in the early stages, quiet and gentle in other moments, and disappeared into the background when she felt she needed to. The only negative was that I didn’t know about her for my first birth! And I feel for my first born to not have these incredibly special photos (however she also helped him be a part of the space and share in the specialness of it!). Ashlyn felt more like a friend or doula in my birthing space and she will for sure be at my next birth should we have another!
